A couple,who had been missing since Monday night,was found dead on a hillock near the Indian Air Force station in Malwani Tuesday night. Police claimed that the man killed his wife before hanging himself from a tree.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Musa Shaikh said,On Tuesday around 9.30 am,the police control room got a call informing it about the incident. A police team rushed to the spot and found a young woman lying dead on the ground. Her head was injured and neck was strangulated with a dupatta. They also found the body of a man in his late twenties hanging from a tree.

The police found a driving licence from the mans body and identified him as Gaya Prasad Yadav alias Vinayak (28),a resident of Anand Nagar,Jogeshwari. After enquiring with the local police,the police team discovered that a missing persons complaint was registered on Monday night by their relatives in the Oshiwara police station. We informed their relatives. They identified the bodies of Gaya and Usha, said Shaikh.

Relatives of Usha told us despite having a love marriage and having a four-month-old son,they used to get into altercation. Gaya suspected her of infidelity. We suspect that Gaya had killed his wife before committing suicide, added Shaikh.
