Man kills ‘alcoholic’ father

Allegedly fed up of his father’s alcoholism,a 33-year-old Vikhroli resident allegedly killed him after bashing his head with a grinding stone in the wee hours of Wednesday. The incident happened at the family’s residence around 2.30 am,and a few hours after the murder,the accused Ravi Kumar turned up at the Vikhroli police station and confessed to his crime. “Kumar said that his father Ramlingam was a compulsive drinker and would create a ruckus at home in an intoxicated state. Fed up of the constant fights and irked after a quarrel on Tuesday night,Kumar hit his father’s head with a grinding stone,” said police.
