Man kills 62-yr-old mother for refusal to serve him food

Had killed two dogs earlier for barking at him,say cops.

The Malad police arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly killing his mother after she refused to serve him food on Saturday night. Soon after the accused committed the crime,his father walked in and nabbed him,police said.

According to the police,Suryakiran Chauhan is extremely short tempered and killed his mother in a fit of anger when she accused him of being unemployed and surviving on his fathers money.

Inspector Rajaram Prabhu from the Malad police station said Chauhan is so short tempered that six months ago,he killed two dogs because they were barking at him. He had then allegedly cut them into pieces. Neighbours alerted the police who arrested Chauhan,said investigators.

On Saturday,an inebriated Chauhan entered his house in Vhandar Pada,Malad (W),and asked for dinner. His mother Sailabai (62) refused. Chauhan picked up a grinding stone from the kitchen and smashed her head. He sat beside Sailabais body for two hours before being arrested.

His father,Shripath,walked in and saw his wife in a pool of blood. He raised an alarm and the locals informed us about the murder, said Prabhu.
