Man gets life term for minor’s rape

The sessions court in Dindoshi has sentenced a 25-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping a four-year-old girl in 2012. The accused, a distant relative of the victim, was convicted of kidnapping and rape. According to the prosecution, the four-year-old victim lived with her family on a pavement near Dahisar river in 2012.

The accused had approached the victim while she was playing near her house and offered her lunch. Since the victim knew him, she accompanied him. He first took her to an area near Dahisar station and bought her Chinese food before taking her to a secluded spot near the railway tracks and raping her.
