Man drives off with cop,held after chase

A 42-year-old man who drove off with a police constable taking him to the police station after his car scraped against another was caught after a 15-minute chase.

A 42-year-old man who drove off with a police constable taking him to the police station after his car scraped against another was caught after a 15-minute chase. Police said Vivek Malik driving Indigo car,scraped against another car and was stopped by the other motorist. A crowd gathered and two constables attached to Samta Nagar police reached the spot. One of them Vijay Deokar,told Malik to accompany him to the police station, said an officer,adding Deokar got into Maliks car and told him to drive to the station.

Instead of stopping,Malik sped away. He was chased by the other constable,who also alerted police control room. Malik was stopped and held for rash driving,and kidnapping. He has been remanded in police custody till Monday.
