With film markets becoming increasingly global,directors often find it challenging to deal with multiple cultures and subcultures that they encounter during the process of shooting a film. ‘Almost Fiction,a workshop on documentary filmmaking conducted by Dorothee Wenner,draws attention towards themes such as shooting on location,post-production and marketing of documentaries. Wenner,a Berlin-based filmmaker,has made more than 15 films that have been showcased at various festivals worldwide including Toronto,Busan and Frobourg. The workshop will be conducted on September 27 and 28 at Goethe Hall,Max Mueller Bhavan,in Kala Ghoda. During the workshop,where entry is free,Wenner will also screen some of her other films such as DramaConsult and Shanti Plus,shot in Goa.
