Khar gym instructor held for molestation

Senior police inspector Mangesh Pote from the Khar police station said,“The complainant,a 31-year-old real estate professional,has been a member of the Leena Mogre gymnasium for the past few years where More works as a trainer.”

According to the complainant,the incident took place on November 4 on the gym premises. The victim said in her statement that while working out,she felt More trying to get overtly physical with her and was also touching her inappropriately. She then reported the matter to the gym management,but no action was taken.

The complainant then left for South Africa along with her husband to attend a family wedding. She returned on November 29 and again approached the gym authorities,but to no avail. Finally,she approached the Khar police on Monday and lodged a complaint.

Pote said acting on the information given by the victim,they registered a case of outraging the modesty of a woman against More.

“We have arrested More on charges of outraging the modesty of a woman and shall produce him in court. We are also conducting enquiries to find out whether he had indulged in such kind of behaviour with other members of the gym in the past,” added Pote.
