Jaideep Singh wins debut bout

On a night highlighted with entertaining bouts in the 19th week of the SFL,it proved to be a lucky day for all the fighters standing in the red corner. The 6-foot-4-inch tall Jaideep Singh,also called ‘The Heart,’ beat Iranian Alireza Tvaloki in the Heavy Weight category. Both fighters debuted in the match which saw Singh’s renowned moves and powerful punches on display. The match results were decided by a submission tap out in the first round.

The Bantam Weight category had two matches. The first saw Mumbai’s Irfan Khan beat 19 year old Jagdish Kashyap from New Delhi,via a rear naked choke in the first round of the bout. The second match was an all teenage affair between 18-year-old Delhi boy Narendra Grewal and 19-year old Abdul Azeem from Afghanistan. Grewal was declared the match winner via the judge’s unanimous decision.

The judge’s unanimous decision also decided the winner in the only Female Flyweight match of the night. Mumbai’s Manjit Kolekar emerged victorious against Ghaziabad’s Monika Malik. In the only Feather Weight bout of the night,which was another teenage affair,the 18-year old boy from Bhiwani,Amit Raj beat Pune’s 19-year old Abhay Singh Shirole via TKO Technical Knockout in the first round.

In the two Welter Weight matches,two Delhi boys,Jason Solomon and Mayank Dogra competed against each other,with Solomon coming out on top via submission in the first round.
