NGO Forum for Fairness in Education (FFE) has moved the Bombay High Court alleging misappropriation of funds running into around Rs 75 crore in irregularities in the Central Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan scheme in Thane. The public interest litigation has been filed before a division bench headed by Chief Justice Mohit Shah. The allegation refers to the Jawhar Beat Taluka group in the district,for which Rs 92.93 lakh was released for the purpose of 86 temporary hostels as part of the scheme. The NGO alleged that while some hostels were non-existent,some lack basic civic facilities.
