Schoolboy killed in road mishap
A 10-year-old school student was crushed to death by a vehicle on the Western Expressway near Kherwadi in Bandra (east) on Tuesday afternoon. He was crossing the road with his father. According to the Kherwadi police,Samir Shaikh,a student of a Bandra (East) school,was rushed to Bhabha Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The driver of the unidentified vehicle sped away without helping the child or informing the police. “We are making efforts to trace the vehicle,” said a police officer.

BMC squad seizes 73 LPG cylinders
The BMC’s vigilance squad (licence) seized 73 LPG cylinders that were stored without licence in Vile Parle on Wednesday. The squad arrested Sandeep Jethe,manager of Rahul Gas Services where the cylinders were stored.

The cylinders which are generally used for commercial purpose should not be stored without licence under section 394 of MMC Act. The 73 LPG cylinders weigh around 1,235 kg. ENS
