Help found dead in actor’s flat

The police have registered an accidental death report. Kaphale worked at Khurana’s house at Anmol Pride Apartments for seven years.

Police have ruled out foul play as there was no signs of forced entry into the house. “We have not found any suicide note. The body was handed over to his uncle after post-mortem examination,” said Bhai Mahadeshwar,(acting) senior inspector.

“The post-mortem report indicates Kaphale died at least three days ago,” said Mahadeshwar.

The police were initially informed of a foul stench by Ranimol Anuraj,32,Khurana’s manager,after neighbours complained to the actor. The police first saw a “blurred bloated image” through the keyhole and entered the house after they got a keymaker to make duplicate keys. “The body had expanded,” said Uttam Khairmode,Assistant Commissioner of Police,Goregaon area.

Kaphale’s uncle,a waiter in Navi Mumbai,has informed the police that he was facing financial problems and had taken a loan from someone. “A probe is on,” added Khairmode.

Khurana has informed the police that he has been shuttling between Delhi and Mumbai for a shoot for over a month. “We are helping the police in the process of gathering information. All the due procedures are being observed,” said an official statement from Khurana.

“We will record Khurana’s statement as soon as he returns,” said Khairmode.
