In a bid to avoid irregularities and unequal functioning of schemes and programmes meant for students from different communities, the Cabinet on Thursday decided to bring in an inclusive policy for which a permanent committee will be formed.
Several institutions such as Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI), Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI), Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training and Human Development Institute (SARTHI), Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (MahaJyoti), Academy of Maharashtra Research, Upliftment and Training (AMRUT) undertake various social, financial, educational programmes for different sections of the society.
In addition, they run several different programmes for student fellowship, preparations for the competitive exams, training for Army and police recruitment, skill development, house allowance for students without hostel facilities etc.
