A day after resigning from her post in the Shiv Sena (UBT), Tejasvee Ghosalkar, the former BMC corporator and daughter-in-law of senior leader Vinod Ghosalkar, met party chief Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Following the meeting, she said that she remained with the party despite ongoing concerns. Ghosalkar, who led the women’s wing in the Dahisar assembly constituency, said Thackeray had reached out to her and that she conveyed her grievances to him during the meeting.

“There are some issues that I have raised. I am hopeful they will be resolved. My future course of action will depend on that,” she told reporters.

When asked if she was considering a switch to the BJP or had received any political offers, Ghosalkar declined to comment. “I had expected that these issues would be handled locally. Since that didn’t happen, I brought them directly to the leadership,” she said.

Ghosalkar’s political career is deeply intertwined with the Shiv Sena (UBT). Her husband, Abhishek Ghosalkar, a former BMC corporator, was shot dead earlier this year during a Facebook Live broadcast—an incident that shocked the city. The alleged assailant, a local resident, is currently in custody.

The Ghosalkar family has long maintained close ties with the Thackerays. Uddhav Thackeray, along with his wife Rashmi and son Aaditya, had attended Abhishek’s funeral, underscoring the personal bond shared between the two families.
