Former state minister Pritam Kumar Shegaonkar died here this morning following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 76 and is survived by wife,two sons and two daughters.
Shegaonkar was a legislative council member elected from the Assembly quota and belonged to RPI (A). His secretary Gangadhar Waghmare said the leader suffered a stroke this morning. He was rushed to Bombay Hospital but was pronounced dead on admission. The funeral will take place in Aurangabad. Shegaonkar was Minister of State for Housing,Slum Improvement,Repairs and Reconstruction,Khar lands and Social Justice in the Vilasrao Deshmukh Cabinet.
