Her name was first taken simultaneously with dance, and then came direction. But today,Farah Khan’s silver-tongued judging has made us imagine her sitting behind a desk and giving points to some nervous contestant. This is the very reason why the choreographer-turned-filmmaker chose to be in front of the small screen.

“Being part if these grand shows is a great way to stay in the public eye between films,” she says. “I’ll only be able to do one film in a couple of years and I don’t want people to forget me by then.” And then she quickly adds: “It’s also the best way to make a lot of quick money.”

Khan claims to be a big fan of reality shows and admits that she’s addicted to most of them. “Not only are they entertaining but it’s simply fascinating to see the insane things that people do for attention. Some of them have such crazy talents,” says the loquacious lady. Does watching them remind her of any of her own crazy talents? “Making films is the craziest thing that anyone can do,” she laughs. “Apart from that I’ve mastered the art of applying complete stage makeup in my moving car in under 30 minutes. This includes eye makeup as well,” she jokes.

Khan has just finished shooting the finale of the reality show, the fifth she’s judged so far,Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, and will now get back to writing the script of her next film, the long talked about Happy New Year. Even though the script is not finalised as yet,the lead actor already is. “Of course my movie will have Shah Rukh Khan. We work so well and it would be stupid of me to move on from him,” she says blatantly.

The leading lady is non-consequential for the two best friends. “I haven’t even thought about the girl as yet. But I think this time I might introduce a new male face with my film,” she reveals before she immediately sighing,“Oh god,I shouldn’t have said that. Now I’ll get 300 pictures of male actors at my desk once again tomorrow.”

With her busy schedule and large family (she’s a new mother to triplets),44-year-old Khan has begun to get more attractive with every passing year. If she were an actress,we’d be calling on plastic surgeons to spill beans, but Khan insists “it’s the children”.

“Running after three of them gets rid of all my excess weight. Playing and being around them brings this glow to my face,” she smiles as she rushes backstage to meet her three tots who have just walked in to play with mommy.
