AFTER almost nine years of playing electronica,Delhi-based group Jalebee Cartel is calling it quits. Its members — Arjun Vagale (laptop, mixing, electronics),Ashvin Mani Sharma (laptop and synths),Ash Roy (vocals and percussions) and G-Force Arjun (bass guitar) — are now going their separate ways as they look at concentrating on their solo careers and various other side projects. The band’s manager,Dev Bhatia, confirmed the news. The group launched its debut album One Point Nothing back in 2009 and since then, there’s been no looking back for the band that has enjoyed success both in the Indian and international music circuit. They put India on the international EDM map, thereby breaking the myth that dance music is a Western domain. They have played at various editions of the Sunburn Music festival in Goa and have also at international festivals, including the Fusion Festival (Germany),Tresor Berlin (Germany),Lille 3000 (France) and C/O Pop Festival (Germany),among many others.
