E-tendering scam: BJP asks cops to ‘seize’ server used to award contracts

BJP wrote to the ACP asking them to seize the server used for the system of awarding small-scale contracts.

A day after registering a case with the Anti-Corruption Bureau against civic officials involved in the e-tendering malpractice, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wrote a letter to the additional commissioner of police (ACP) on Wednesday asking them to “seize the server” used for the system of awarding small-scale contracts.

“Since the civic officials would have used computers, laptops to tamper with the system, it should be seized to save the evidence,” reads the letter addressed to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The letter written by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to the additional commissioner of police  also states that the accused may tamper, destory the documents.

Hence all the tender documents and work orders that were issued should also be seized by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) as soon as possible to save the evidence.
