Mota,Malvi scalp all ten wickets for Tata's derailing Central.

Fine bowling performnces by medium pacers Wilkin Mota and Usman Malvi helped Tata Sports Club restrict Central Railway to 153 on the first day of the three-day Times Shield ‘A’ Division third and last round at the Oval on Wednesday.

Milind Tamhane was the top-scorer for the Railways with 51,while all rounder Salil Agarkar contributed 37. Mota captured six wickets for 37 runs in 12 overs while Malvi took four for 54 in 11 overs. At close of play Tata’s were 84 for no loss,with southpaw Praful Waghela on 44 and Suffiyan Shakih on 35.

Half centuries by Bhavin Thakkar and Uday Kaul enabled Bharat Petrolum to finish the first innings at 251 for 5 against Indian Oil at MIG ground,Bandra. Both added invalubale 106 runs for the fifth wicket in 220 balls. Thakkar’s innings of 65 off 166 with a six and 8 fours while Kaul had 14 fours in his 196-ball-91.

Western Railway ‘B’ were bowled out for 170 by D.Y.Patil Group ‘B’ on their home ground,Nerul seamer Aditya Dhole and Kshemal Waingankar captured three wickets each. DY Patil then scored 154 for 6 at stumps with Bravish Shetty scoring 57 and Pankaj Jaiswal batting on 37. Hardik Parmar took three wickets.
