Heathrow Terminal 5,reserved exclusively for the British Airways flights to and from London, isnt often frequented by passengers travelling on any of the other airlines. One of the main reasons for this is that its a bit of a commute from Terminals 2,3 and 4,lugging up and down the escalators, elevators and moving walkways to get to the London Underground. But come October, people might actually make the effort to go the distance to sample food from a new signature Indian restaurant at Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5,a mile away from the airport terminal. This is because Mumbai-born Cyrus Todiwala, chef and owner of the fine dining restaurant,Cafe Spice Namaste,in London,is all set to open a brand new restaurant on the deluxe property called Mr Todiwalas Kitchen. The chef who trained with the Taj Group of Hotels before migrating to London in 1991,will be serving traditional Parsi fare like dhansak, papeta per edu and prawn pathio at his new restaurant. In addition to this,he will also retain a variety of his signature Indian dishes from Cafe Spice Namaste. Mr Todiwalas Kitchen will aim to appease the tastes of businessmen in transit,as well as tourists who have heard of Londons love affair with the Indian food. I think this will be a brilliant partnership. Hopefully, the first of many. This is UKs first Indian restaurant in a four-star deluxe hotel, situated near one of the worlds busiest international air terminals. The customers are bound to be most discerning, very widely travelled, demanding the very best cuisine at a great venue, said Todiwala. The restaurant will have an open kitchen where guests will get to watch Todiwala in action while enjoying their meal. In addition, the chef also plans to hold meetings of the Khadraas Club,an initiative that started at Cafe Spice Namaste to promote Parsi food,at the new venue.
