Dancing Queen

IT is common for directors and production houses to delay a shoot for a star if he or she is unavailable. But in an unusual albeit encouraging incident,Rani Mukerji waited for choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant to begin her shoot for Aiyya. The shooting for the film,which is now in post-production stages,was to begin late last year. But Mukerji,who has three item numbers in the movie,wanted none other than the National Award-winning Merchant to choreograph them,especially the lavani number. And so,the actress patiently waited till she could give her dates for the movie. We hope more actors will take cue and give technicians their dues.
