Man hangs self after tiff with mother
Mumbai: A thirty-two-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence in Ghatkopar (West) on Friday. Sagar Pawar took the extreme step allegedly after his mother,Savitri,refused to give him property papers of her house,said the police.
Savitri owns a house in Ghatkopars Amrut Nagar. Sagar also owned a house in the area where he stayed with wife and two daughters. Sagar had gone to his mothers house and asked her for property papers,however,Savitri refused to give him the papers saying he was was an alcoholic and may sell the house to fund his drinking. She also said that her daughter was unmarried and she may need the house later. Sagar got into a heated argument with his mother and later committed suicide.
Electronics shop,house robbed
Mumbai: An electronics shop in Ghatkopar was robbed of items worth Rs 1.52 lakh on April 12. A compalint,however,was registered on Friday when the shop owner returned from his hometown.
Vinod Jain,the owner of Arihant Electronics,located on Aarey Road,left for a wedding in his native place on April 5. An employee was looking after the shop in Jains absence. On April 12,the shop was robbed after the incharge left for the day.
In another incident,a house in Oshiwara was looted of gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 2.94 lakh. Abha Malhotra,a housewife residing in Mhada colony,had gone to the market at 11.30 am. Her husband had also left for work. When Malhotra returned around an hour later,she found the main doors lock and the cupboard inside the house broken. ens
