Couple found dead in Goregaon flat

The bodies of two elderly persons were found in a decomposed condition at their flat in Goregaon. The Goregaon (west) police said the couple’s mentally challenged son had apparently been staying in the flat for the past few days.

“N Rajan (72) and his wife Chandra Rajan (70) stayed with their son Sujit (40) at Nandanvan society in Jawahar Nagar. Their neighbours noticed stench emanating from the flat for two days and informed the police,” said an officer.

The condition of the bodies suggested that they had died around four days ago,police said. Additional Commissioner of Police Ramrao Pawar said,“It seems that Sujit had been staying in the house. The bodies have been sent to Cooper Hospital for autopsy. We have registered a case of accidental death.”

The police are planning to take Sujit to mental health experts.
