Colaco shines

Clifton Colaco’s triple strike,hogged the limelight,as his goals powered Our Lady of Vailankanni to an emphatic 6-0 win against AKYSP North Mumbai in a Division-III match of the Mumbai District Football Association’s (MDFA) league played at the St Xavier’s ground,Parel,on Wednesday. With Colaco leading the way upfront,Vailankanni were always in control from the start and they maintained the stranglehold over the proceedings to complete the demolition of the North Mumbai side. Besides Colaco, Deon Pereira netted a brace while Rohit Sagvekar scored one. Earlier in the day,Sillicon FC also had things much their own way as they romped to a 4-0 win over Koral FC in another one-sided match. For Sillicon,Daniel George,Thomas Mathias,Anup Bisht and Aditya Karmarkar contributed a goal each. In contrast,West Zone United were made to work hard for their 2-1 win against Maitri Youngsers.
