NCP MLC Dr Vasant Pawar died at the Mumbai airport on Thursday night after suffering a massive stroke. Pawar,a former Lok Sabha MP from Nashik and a surgeon,had landed in the city from New Delhi. He also controlled the Maratha Vidya Prasarak Sanstha that has a network of educational institutes in north Maharashtra . The funeral will be on Saturday in Nashik,NCP leader Prakash Binsale said NCP chief Sharad Pawar has cancelled his programmes in Satara and Solapur to attend the funeral.
