Gokhale eases past Jeevan
MAHARASHTRA lad Aditya Gokhale eased into the boys’ under-16 singles second round of the 7th Ramesh Desai Memorial All India Ranking National Tennis Tournament. Young Gokhale tamed V Jeevan of Tamil Nadu 6-1,6-0 in a first round match at the Cricket Club of India courts,Churchgate on Monday.
Meanwhile,in a girls’ under-12 singles match,Maharashtras Rutuja Jadhav rallied to beat her statemate Gauri Bhagia 1-6,6-3,6-4.

Vazirani strikes for S.P Academy
SP Football Academy beat Companeroes 1-0 through a Karishma Vazirani strike in a Goan Sports Association Women’s Football League (WFL) 2013 match,at the Goan Sports Association (GSA) ground in Cross Maidan.
In another game,Anima Malik and Pooja More scored a goal each to help their side,Leaders SC beat Fr. Agnel,Red 2-0.
Alind Naidu stars
Accountant General’s Alind Naidu starred in his side’s seven-wicket win over Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF),in a Group B match of the Police Commissioner’s Twenty 20 D/N Cup 2013,held at the Police Gymkhana ground,Marine Drive.
Accountant General won the toss and sent in RCF to bat first,restricting them to 131 for the loss of nine wickets. Accountant General took just 15 overs to chase the target and lost three wickets in the process.
Brief scores: Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF) 131 for 9 (Aditya Dhumal 38; Alind Naidu 3/19,Madhu Sudan 3/32) lost to Accountant General 135 for 3 in 15 overs (Jayesh Dhangaonkar 44).
