A 24-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Andheri on Tuesday night.

A 24-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Andheri (East) on Tuesday night. She left a suicide note saying she had problems in her marital life. Nidhi Singh used to stay with her husband Samdashi Singh,who is an assistant manager with a private bank. The police said the couple used to have frequent arguments. Nidhi had also told her father about it. On Tuesday,Nidhis father tried calling her,but no one answered. He then informed his relatives,who went to her house and found her body.

FIR in salt pan case

The Manikpur police have filed an FIR in a land-grabbing case involving about 11,000 square feet of salt pans,government lawyer Rajesh Behare told the Bombay High Court on Wednesday. Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice Roshan Dalvi were hearing a PIL filed by Sanjay Sethi. He said Ajay Wade and Associates purchased five adjoining plots in Vasai. However,officials in the revenue department and the city survey office manipulated official records and gave away state-owned salt pan land worth more than Rs 250 crore,the petitioner contended.
