Where’s everyone?

So what if the whole city has already seen Slumdog Millionaire and the music available in stores? We can always have a music launch party, attended by select cast and crew of the film. The association with Hollywood may be responsible for this, but surprisingly, everyone came in on time. While Anil Kapoor managed the show, addressing the media for three hours straight,Irrfan Khan and Delhi-based assistant director Loveleen Tandon too spoke shortly about their experiences.

Bummer Besides prominent cast members like director Danny Boyle and Dev Patel, even the music director was missing at the event that should’ve been centred around him. We’re sure the promoters could’ve arranged the launch on a day A R Rahman was available. Video conferencing just don’t cut.

THE launch of PVR Cinemas at Phoenix Mills has been in the reckoning for the longest. Finally when the lamp was lit on Wednesday morning to commemorate the launch, most Phoenix regulars had something to cheer about. Veteran filmmaker Yash Chopra was the guest of honour. Accompanying him was Ajay Bijli, chairman and managing director of PVR along with brother Sanjeev, joint managing director.

Showstopper With a PVR in the hood,Inox better watch out.
