Casanova Hunt

I am anchoring this show on UTV Bindass,in which contestants will fight it out to be the ultimate Casanova. After Bigg Boss 4,I got a lot of television offers — both fiction and non-fiction — but I felt a very strong connect with Superstud and decided to anchor it.

You have the ‘Casanova’ tag attached to you. Why do you think this is how the audience see you?

It’s not a conscious effort and I am not a Casanova. It’s just a perception and I have to live with it. Maybe,it’s because of this that I have been offered a show like Superstud.

How has life changed after Bigg Boss 4?

The show brought me a lot of fame and brought me back in the limelight because Bigg Boss is one of India’s biggest reality shows. It has infused fresh life into my career and has made me a household name.

You are known as the ‘controversy kid’. Has the reality show changed your image?

My main motive of taking part in the show was to tell people who I really am and to clear all the misconceptions about me. I have realised that my image has changed — the audience has taken a liking to me and I get very warm vibes from people.

How has the perception of the entertainment industry changed towards you now?

I have been approached for a number of films and television shows. In fact,both fiction and non-fiction shows were offered. Currently,I am reading a couple of scripts too. I am also excited about an international film project that I will be working on soon. Hopefully,I will also produce a TV show soon.

What’s real and what’s scripted on reality shows?

Bigg Boss was not scripted at all. I was never briefed by the channel and I was completely myself. Some people do put up an act. After all,it is a game show,but for how long can a person act.

Are you in touch with any of your fellow inmates from the Bigg Boss house?

Of course. Khali wished me on my birthday and I bumped into Dolly Bindra at an award ceremony. Hrishant Mukherjee is a buddy and I am in touch with ,Seema Parihar,Aanchal Kumar and Veena Malik.

There is a rumour going around that you are all set to marry Veena Malik. How true is this?

Not true at all. We are not getting married and we are not dating each other either. She is just a very close friend.
