The police have registered a case of fraud and are further investigating the matter.
Vinod Tejwani, 55, a businessman from Santacruz (West), has filed a police complaint against Mohan Madan and Sarabjit Singh Kheer.
As per the FIR, the building in which the complainant had a flat went for redevelopment. All flat owners were promised a new flat. Under this pretext the developers got possession of his flat but never delivered the promised flat to him, states the police complaint.

All this occured between 2020 till date, police sources said.
The Santacruz police have booked the two accused under sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
