Body of 15-yr-old found hanging

A 15-year-old schoolgirl was found hanging at her Sion-Koliwada residence on Saturday morning. Police said she committed suicide after failing in her school examination for the second time.

On Saturday morning,Divya Anil Solanki,a class VIII student of the BPYA High School,had gone with her mother to check her exam results,where she learnt that she had failed in science exam. “Solanki’s parents are teachers. Her mother left for work in the morning and asked Solanki to stay with her aunt till evening. Instead of going to her aunt’s house,Solanki went out and came back home,” said police inspector B H Kakad of the Wadala police station. Her father and brother were also not at home.

“Solanki’s aunt had come to visit her after sometime. When her calls went unanswered,she called up Solanki’s parents who rushed back to home. They broke the front door open and found Solanki hanging,” said Kakad. Police said they didn’t get any suicide note.
