Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra minister Dada Bhuse on Tuesday said Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut’s loyalties lie with NCP chief Sharad Pawar, after the Parliamentarian made allegations of irregularities in the Girna Agro company.

On Monday, Raut tweeted: “This is the minister Dada Bhuse. Farmers have come on the streets against him. The Girna Agro company has collected shares worth Rs 178.25 crore from farmers. But the company’s website showed only shares worth Rs 1.67 crore in the name of only 47 members. This is a loot. Soon there will be explosion (in this regard).”

Raising the issue in the Assembly on Tuesday, Bhuse asked the House to investigate the allegations. “If I am found guilty, then I will not only resign from the post of MLA and Minister but will also retire from politics. But if this is found to be false allegations, then this Mahagaddar, who has been elected as Rajya Sabha MP with our (Shinde faction) votes, should resign. He should also resign from the executive editor post of Saamana newspaper (the mouthpiece of Uddhav Thackeray led Shiv Sena). He eats at Matoshree (Thackerays) but serves Sharad Pawar,” Bhuse said.

Nationalist Congress Party’s (NCP) Ajit Pawar, the leader of Opposition in the Assembly, raised objection to Bhuse’s reference of Sharad Pawar and demanded the remarks be expunged from record. He also demanded an apology from the minister. Speaker Rahul Narvekar later said he would examine Bhuse’s remarks.

Replying to Bhuse, Raut said that he wasn’t elected by Shinde faction MLAs. “I have been elected by Shiv Sena MLAs…Uddhav Thackeray made them ministers, they would not be elected again. I have not become an MP for the first time. This is my fourth time. They should not teach me wisdom,” Raut said.
