Sanjay Raut, the executive editor of the Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana', also wrote in his Sunday column that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stature has "declined" while that of Congress president Rahul Gandhi has risen.
In his weekly column ‘Rokhthok’ in Sena mouthpiece Saamana, Raut wrote that the prime minister, finance minister and others were repeatedly asserting that India is a fastest growing economy in the world, however, the figures speak otherwise.
"The Sena has always championed the cause of Ram temple in Ayodhya. The BJP, despite being in power for four years, has not yet fulfilled its commitment of building a grand Ram temple there," senior party leader Sanjay Raut said.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of being unable to understand the plight of drought affected farmers. Raut added that the Prime Minister is just visiting foreign countries and had never visited the Marathwada region, where numbers of farmers lost their lives due to drought.
