BEST driver assaulted by motorist

A BEST driver was allegedly assaulted by a motorist on Tuesday evening. The Juhu police have registered a case against the unidentified driver for assaulting a public servant while he was lawfully discharging an official duty.

A BEST driver was allegedly assaulted by a motorist on Tuesday evening. The Juhu police have registered a case against the unidentified driver for assaulting a public servant while he was lawfully discharging an official duty.

In his complaint to the police,the BEST driver Deepak Chandanshive (31) alleged that a motorist got into an altercation with him at around 4.30 pm on Tuesday for overtaking his car on Gulmohar Road.

“Chandanshive claimed that after an argument between them,the motorist got out of his car and assaulted him,” said Senior Police Inspector Deepak Katkade of the Juhu police station.

“We have got the registration number of the car and sent the details to the RTO for getting the records of the motorist. We are conducting inquiries to trace him,” said Katkade.
