The store is an off-shoot of Marry Me,the wedding planning unit run by Candice Pereira and her husband Jarret D’Abreo. The collection comprises unique pieces that the couple created for their clients’ weddings. The 400-odd square feet space has been put to good use as the white walls,lined with tables,cupboards and shelves. It exudes a sense of space and comfort. Only one wall has been covered with wallpaper that is green with pink flowers,adding to its European aura.

There are also items such as French-inspired ‘Carte Postal’ jewellery boxes and calendars,in addition to similarly designed storage boxes,pillow covers and tiny buckets for gardening. These are perfect for one with a simple,yet modern home. That apart,one can still find jute and brocade pillow covers,incense stick kits and bangles that may impress bohemian taste. One of the most interesting items is a sheet of paper with a heart and a recipe on it. This,Pereira says,is ideal for friends and family who want to gift a personalised book of the receiver’s favourite recipes.

Overall,Marry Me is a bit feminine in its approach. But a little corner of the store has been dedicated to ties and cuff links. Overtly masculine men,dragged in against their will,can concentrate on this spot,safe in the knowledge that their faces can’t be seen by passersby. As for the rest,it’s interesting to note that the items aren’t just for those who want a good alternative to money in an envelope at weddings.
