Accused alleges Headley interrogated him

Sabahuddin Ahmed,one of the three arrested accused in the 26/11 terror attack case,has claimed that alleged Lashkar operative David Headley had interrogated him while he was in the custody of the Mumbai Police.

Sabahuddin Ahmed,one of the three arrested accused in the 26/11 terror attack case,has claimed that alleged Lashkar operative David Headley had interrogated him while he was in the custody of the Mumbai Police.

According to Ahmed,Headley was part of an FBI team that had interrogated him while he was in police custody. He is also likely to move a plea before the Esplanade court seeking appropriate action against Headley.

Ahmed’s lawyer Ejaz Naqvi,said,“Ahmed has told me that he was interrogated by Headley. He was part of the team of three foreign persons who impersonated as FBI officers to interrogate him at the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch office.”

Naqvi had earlier filed an application on behalf of Fahim Ansari alleging that a woman FBI officer had molested his client.

Speaking to media persons,Naqvi said,“Ahmed saw Headley’s pictures in the newspapers he has subscribed to in prison and informed me. After our meeting today,we decided to reveal the fact before the court.”

Judge M L Tahaliyani directed Naqvi to approach the magistrate court for any sort of order on the matter. Naqvi later said he would be moving the Esplanade court in a few days.

Pakistan-born American citizen Headley had been arrested by the US Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in Chicago,and charged with surveying sites in the city that were targetted during the 26/11 terror attack.
