One died, six injured in a scaffolding accident in Borivali

Four of the workers are currently admitted at the BMC run Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, of which one worker succumbed to injuries minutes after ICU admission.

One person died and six others are injured after a scaffolding accident at an under construction building in Borivali (east) on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened around noon in Borivali’s Chaugule Nagar area from a high rise.

Scaffolding is a temporary structure on the outside of a building, made of wooden planks and metal poles, used by workmen while building, repairing, or cleaning the building.

Four of the workers are currently admitted at the BMC run Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali, of which one worker passed away minutes after ICU admission. The deceased, Prakash Patra, was brought in an extremely critical condition, doctors said.
