3 killed,2 hurt in accident

Three members of a family from Mumbra were killed while two others were injured in a head-on collision between a dumper and a car on Mumbai-Goa Highway Thursday. The dumper driver has been arrested. Panvel police said the accident occurred near Karnala Bird Sanctuary on around 1:30 pm.

Rashmi Ansar Khan (45),was driving her Maruti car, with her daughter Nasreen (18) and Tehreen (16),niece Alam (20) and nephew Naveen when the accident occurred. Rashmi,Tehreen and Nasreen died on the spot,while Naveen and Alam were injured,police said.
