Why is BJP not speaking out against Akalis: Cong

The party was asked why it did not lodge any protest when their recommendations were not considered at all.

District President Pawan Dewan said,“The BJP leaders need to clear their stand before the Government or I will tell the Congress workers to send bangles to their houses. If they don’t dare to step out of the Government, they deserve this gift only.”

Punjab Youth Congress President Bikram Chaudhary again lashed out at the BJP more instead of SAD as he went on. “The BJP needs to clear its stand as to who is a Zinda Shaheed. And after giving these titles to terrorists,the state government has no right to seek funds on lines of terrorist-hit states from the Centre.”

Congress Legislative Party (CLP) Leader Sunil Jakhar also vented his ire more at the BJP and its role in the Government. “The BJP is the real cheater of the urban voters,” he thundered All-India Congress Committee (AICC) Spokesman and Ludhiana MP Manish Tiwari lashed out at the BJP in detail. He held the party squarely them responsible for disrupting the proceedings of Parliament as well and later called it a mute spectator in Punjab.

It needs to be mentioned that apart from the Congress leaders,even disgruntled traders and industrialists too are criticising the BJP leaders for their silence. The Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal has called a meeting on September 9 to discuss these issues. Later it will be calling a maha panchayat as well.

Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal General Secretary Mohinder Aggarwal said,“In the Assembly the Deputy Chief Minister dubbed traders thieves and the BJP kept mum.

So what is that party’s real stand? We voted for this party and now they need to stand by us. If they cannot do anything,they should at least dare to step out of the alliance.”

Meanwhile,the mandal members hinted that urban voters who have been loyal to the BJP for years are feeling cheated. Now they need to re-think which party they should vote for in future,observed Aggarwal.
