Two accused arrested in last year’s robbery

The police on Thursday arrested Sunny Arora and his minor friend on charges of robbery and attack at the house of Sukhdev Raj Sharma in Haibowal in February last year.

Sunny,a resident of Maya Nagar,Ludhiana,had entered Sharma’s house about 1.30 pm and attacked Sharma’s wife Prem Lata with sharp-edged weapons. The duo looted her gold bangles,camera,gold chain and a few more things before running away.

The woman fought with the robbers bravely and was later admitted to DMCH.

ADCP Nilambari Jagdale said they were arrested from a police naka,and a camera along with a few gold items had been recovered from them.
