The search for a Vice Chancellor for Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) is nearly over.
The three member search committee constituted for this task met at Chandigarh on Friday and has shortlisted three names.
FCD N S Kang said,We have done the shortlisting and these names will be handed over to the PAU management board by next week. The board is the final authority which will take the decision on who the next VC of PAU could be.
It is rumoured that Dr J S Samra,CEO of National Rainfed Area Authority is all set to take over the reigns of the university.
The other names on the list could be Dr S S Chahal and Dr B S Dhillon.
Dr B S Dhillon is the former Director Research of the university.
Dr Chahal is a former comptroller of examinatons PAU. He is currently the vice chancellor of Maharana Partap University of Agriculture and Technology,Udaipur.
