Gang of vehicle thieves busted
Ludhiana: The city police arrested vehicle lifters who were involved in stealing luxury cars.The accused were identified as Amandeep Singh,Anup Singh and Rajwinder Singh. They used to sell the stolen vehicles in UP and Punjab. Police recovered 11 vehicles from them.

Pulse Polio drive to start today
Ludhiana: A five-day-long Pulse Polio drive will start from January 23. Under this as many as 5.80 lakh children will be administered polio drops in Ludhiana district. According to health authorities,On January 23,polio booths will be set up in rural areas while drops will be administered door-to-door in urban areas. On January 25,dr ops will be administered door-to-door in rural areas.

9-year-old boys murder case solved
Ludhiana: The General Railway Police (GRP) on Friday solved the murder mystery of nine years old Niranjan whose mutilated body was found near the rail tracks in Hussainpura village. Police arrested Mahesh Mahato,step father of Niranjan. Mahesh,in his statement,admitted to the crime and said that he disliked Niranjan and thats why murdered him. Mahesh had run away from Bihar with Anita after deserting his wife and kids while Anitas first husband had expired in Bihar and she came with Mahesh along with her son.
