Seminar on self-motivation held at Bhutta College

Harpreet Singh remarked that ‘strengthen your strengths and weaken your weaknesses’ is the key component for self-motivation so as to achieve career goals. In the interactive session,he conducted many exercises including meditation apart from management games like learning-unlearning-relearning activity. He helped the students to evaluate their ‘self’ with a time management based graphical interpretation.

While sharing the necessity to bring the desired change in the state of mind to positivity,he advised the students to identify their core competencies and learn from their failures as well. He told the students that the best method for self- motivation was to prioritize their daily chore activities and competing with self than with anyone else.

With a self-pat exercise,he made the students realise that the best helping hand is always at the end of their own arm. He quoted Guru Nanak Dev for his ‘Man jeete jag jeet’ method for getting rid of all the evil thoughts to conquer the mind for following better motives of life.

Prof Darshan Singh Gill,in his address,asked the students to be prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. Dr VK Sharma in his valedictory remarks told the gathering that a teacher should always be self motivated to increase teaching effectiveness.
