A school bus belonging to Nankana Sahib Public School collided with a tractor trolley on Tajpur road on Thursday morning. Four students and the driver of the bus sustained injuries in the accident. The injured have been admitted to Christian Medical College and Hospital. The bus was heading for school at the time of accident and the collision took place due to dense fog.
The injured have been identified as Gurkirat Singh (14),Abhijit Singh (11),Deepak (16) and Karminder Singh (17), all students of the school. The injured driver has been identified as Manjinder Singh.
At the time of the accident,some 45 children were in the bus. Apart from the four injured students,some other students also received minor cuts and bruises and were sent home after first aide.
The accident took place at about 9.15 AM on Thursday when the bus was headed from the city to the school at Khassi Kalan while the trolley with which it collided was coming from Khasi Kalan towards the city. The mishap occurred near Mehndi Palace. ASI Baljeet Singh the driver of the trolley is absconding.
