In February,he was selected from amongst 60,000 entries uploaded on the ibibo.com website and bagged a contract with the Elite Model Management. “I had uploaded my profile on the website in December but I could not get selected in the January’s edition. A month later,I was shortlisted in the first 20 candidates and was finally picked up for the job,” he says.

While modelling remains his passion,medicine is Guram’s area of interest. “I had always been interested in modelling even when I was studying medicine. I was some 15 kg overweight previously and I did not feel very good about myself. I took the challenge and stuck to my body building regime and lost the excess weight very soon.”

Talking about the reason why he chose to intern at Civil Hospital in the city,this resident of Dugri Urban Estate says that he wanted to intern in India after pursuing the MBBS course from Odessa State Medical University in Ukraine. “Since the students from outside are not well accepted for internship in other private colleges,I decided to go for it in the Civil Hospital.
