Ration depots to boycott Central goods

The Punjab Ration Depot Association has decided to boycott the receiving of goods which are being sent by the Union government.

The Punjab Ration Depot Association (PRDA) has decided to boycott the receiving of goods which are being sent by the Union government.

They said that this has been done following the Central government’s decision to apply a cut on kerosene supplies to the state’s ration depots.

Gurjinder Singh Sandhu,President of the Association, said that the state government must take up this issue with the Union government.

He added that the ration depot holders had made the state government’s scheme of Rs 4 a kg wheat and Rs 20 a kg pulses very popular among the masses and, hence, the government should also protect their rights.
