Rape case just a rumour: Principal

A day after students from DD Jain Memorial College protested against the alleged rape of a Class VII student from Atam Devi Niketan School.

A day after students from DD Jain Memorial College protested against the alleged rape of a Class VII student from Atam Devi Niketan School. However,Mridul Ablash,principal of the school on Saturday clarified that it was a rumor. While students continued their protest on the second day on Saturday,Ablash addressing a press conference said,There has been no such incident and it was just a rumour. ACP central Deepak Hilori police has been deployed in the campus in case of any untoward incident.

GNPS athletic meet concludes

LUDHIANA: The athletic meet at Guru Nanak Public School,concluded on Saturday. Jugdip Singh Kalsi,MD,SPS Apollo Hospital Ludhiana was the chief guest. He handed over the flag to the principal closing the meet officially. Maharaja Ranjit Singh House won the overall trophy. Ramaninder Kaur,Diljot Kaur and Harvee Singh were adjudged under 14 best athletes. Best athletes above 14 were Gurmanpreet Singh,Nikita Ryait and Gurpreet Kaur.

Contest at Guru Nanak School

LUDHIANA: Guru Nanak International Public School,I-Block,BRS Nagar on Saturday organised Ludhiana Sahodya Schools Complex Punjabi Declamation Contest 2013. As many as 33 schools took part. Guru Nanak Public School Sarabha Nagar,grabbed the overall trophy. First position was clinched by Gursimranjit Singh and second position by Vinayjit Singh from Guru Nanak Public School while the third position was bagged by Parneet Kaur of Greenland Convent School.
