Punjab NCC directorate ranked second in country

The Horse Riding Squadron,Ludhiana,was declared the second best in the country. The riders won 2 gold,2 silver and 2 bronze medals. Cdt Sukhjinder Singh was adjudged the best tent pegger and Cdt Devinder jit was the second best in the same category. Cdt Beant Kaur was winner in Girls Hack and Cdt Harvinder Kaur was winner in the show jumping. “

Ludhiana NCC Group had created a history by winning the overall Championship Banner for the training year 2008-09. The banner is awarded to the group which excels in all spheres such as training,sports,social service,shooting,physical endurance,discipline and office procedures and emerges winner among entire NCC set-up in the states of Punjab,Haryana,Himachal and Chandigarh. Col Karamjit said,“The banner came to Ludhiana group after 28 years. This year again,they have won most of the competitions and are determined to retain the banner. “

Col Karamjit Singh lauded the performance of Cadet Amandeep Singh,Cadet Harjot Singh,Cadet Sabroop Kaur,who were adjudged the best cadets in Punjab,Haryana and HP and Cadet Jeewandeep Singh,Cadet Zorawar Singh and Manpreet Kaur,who were winners in other competitions.
