PAU organises home science training

A training programme was organized by the Home Science College,Punjab Agricultural University in which 35 farm women and farmers participated. Dr Kiran Grover educated the participants about the Soybean and Amla (chutni,squash,jam,pickle) products through practical demonstration. She also advised them to be aware of the adulteration taking place in sold products. Dr. Sukhminder Kaur enhanced their knowledge about making of the soft toys and the special toys for the mental and physical development of the children. Creative arts like paper folding and drawing were also explained that added to the knowledge of the participants. Dr. H.K. Saggu brushed up participants’ skills for the designer clothes. Through the training programme, Jyoti Sharma performed an important role in educating the farm women of village Lohara by advising them to follow the righteous path in life. The Programme Coordinator,Dr. Rupinder Kaur said that the courses are regularly organised for women in different areas of home science.
