MC’s U-turn raises hackles

Asha Rani,a resident of Udham Singh Nagar in a written complaint to the MC Commissioner,has said that in March,MC authorities had demolished a gate from this area on the basis of the complaint by a few residents that public roads could not be closed. However once again,the MC authorities have given nod to a few other residents to re-install the gate.

Asha complained that when once MC team themselves had demolished the gate,how could they allow its re-installation again. She added that because of this gate,which is next to her house,thieves can easily enter her house by jumping that gate.

Asha has urged the Commissioner to stop construction of the gate. However,the other residents of the area give a plea that it provides safety to the area and hence commissioner should think about masses and not about a single complainant.
