Man assaults former wife

Sarbjeet Kaur,a resident of Vishnu Puri,was injured after her former husband Raj Kumar attacked her near Chand Cinema on Tuesday.

Nirmal Singh SHO said Sarabjeet Kaur had married the accused 10 years ago but got divorced after two years. Sarbjeet then re-married and has two children from her second marriage. However,Rajkumar was allegedly pestering Kaur to live with him.

Irked at her refusal,Raj Kumar attacked her while she was coming back home after buying vegetables. Sarabjeet Kaur has received serious injuries and has been admitted to Christian Medical College and Hospital while Raj Kumar who too was beaten up by bystanders is undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital. The police will register a case after recording the statement of Kaur.
